Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo has condemned the public release of a video showing the indecent exposure of Comfort Emmanson, an unruly passenger on an Ibom Airline flight from Uyo to Lagos on August 10, 2025. Emmanson allegedly assaulted crew and ground staff after refusing to switch off her phone during takeoff, violating aviation regulations.

While filming her behavior was necessary for prosecution, Keyamo described the video’s release as “totally unacceptable” and ordered sanctions against the responsible staff. The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority banned Emmanson indefinitely from all flights, and she was remanded at Kirikiri Prison after failing to provide sureties at her arraignment. Keyamo directed airlines to improve staff training in public relations and announced a joint security meeting to enhance aviation security coordination.

He urged passengers to use the  Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, (NCAA’s )Consumer Protection Directorate for grievances, warning that disruptive passengers face flight bans and possible criminal prosecution.
