Hundreds of Liberians have demonstrated in Monrovia, led by opposition figure Mulbah Morlu, demanding accountability from President Joseph Boakai’s government.
The protest, the most prominent since Boakai took office, focused on unmet campaign promises, job losses, and the failure to establish a promised war crimes court.
While the Participants called for justice for victims of Liberia’s civil wars and criticized the continued freedom of alleged war criminals, they also condemned politically motivated dismissals and urged the government to restore the rule of law.
