Interim National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Senator David Mark, has stated that the party has no preferred presidential candidate for the 2027 election, despite reports that several prominent politicians, including Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rotimi Amaechi, are frontrunners. Mark emphasized that all party members are equal stakeholders and assured that the party would operate transparently.
This comes amid concerns from ADC’s 2023 presidential candidate, Dumebi Kachikwu, about perceived bias toward Atiku by the interim leadership and potential factionalism.
Mark reiterated the party’s commitment to fairness and to presenting a platform acceptable to Nigerians, emphasizing collective ownership and the importance of national unity.
