Report say Nigeria Premier Football League has announced that it will invite additional players for questioning as part of an ongoing investigation into betting allegations within the Nigerian top flight.

Recall Former Plateau United goalkeeper Adewale Adeyinka was suspended and appeared before the NPFL panel last Thursday after reportedly failing to sign a contract clause related to betting and match-fixing offered by Shooting Stars Football Club.

According to report, Adeyinka was implicated in a complaint filed by his former club, Plateau United, which led to his invitation to appear before the league’s investigative panel.

While Adeyinka’s suspension has now been lifted, the NPFL confirmed that more players will be summoned to provide further information.
