National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has strongly condemned the recent assault on Corps member Edema Elohor Jennifer by members of the Anambra State Vigilante Group in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area, Anambra State.
Recall that female NYSC members serving in Anambra State were attacked by local vigilantes, with Edema Elohor Jennifer suffering severe brutality.
In a statement issued on Tuesday night, NANS Public Relations Officer Comrade Samson Adeyemi described the incident as unjustified and a grave violation of the young Nigerian’s dignity, safety, and fundamental rights while serving under the NYSC scheme.
