Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecasted dust haze and thunderstorms across various regions from today Monday to Wednesday, advising citizens to exercise caution.
The weather outlook predicts slight dust haze in northern states such as Katsina, Kano, Jigawa, Yobe, Borno, and parts of Kaduna on Monday, with sunshine in other areas. Isolated thunderstorms are further expected in southern regions like Taraba, Benue, Kogi, and coastal states, accompanied by light to moderate rainfall, particularly in the southwest and southeast.
On Tuesday, northern Nigeria is expected to be sunny and hazy, while southern regions may experience afternoon thunderstorms and moderate rains. Wednesday forecasts include mostly sunny conditions in the north and central areas, with thunderstorms and light rains developing later in the day across several southern states.NiMet urges motorists to drive cautiously, especially during rain and haze, and advises individuals with respiratory issues to take protective measures.
