Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra,
Nnamdi Kanu, has decided to abandon his earlier plan to call witnesses in his ongoing terrorism trial.
Initially, he sought to present witnesses and requested time to review his case-file. However, after examining the case, Kanu concluded that there are no valid charges against him and believes his trial is unlawful, thus negating the need to defend himself.
The court however, has advised him to formalize his decision in a written address and consult legal experts. The case has been adjourned to November 4-6 for final submissions or for Kanu to present his defense.
