Protests have continued in Madagascar following the government’s dissolution by President Andry Rajoelina.
In a televised address, Rajoelina apologized for the government’s shortcomings and expressed sympathy for those affected by the protests, but the main demand remains his resignation.
Protesters remain adamant that the president should step down, viewing his removal of government officials as insufficient. Only one dismissed minister, Paubert Mahatante, has spoken publicly, reaffirming his commitment to serving the Malagasy people.
