Former Manchester United star Paul Pogba has opened up about the difficulties he faced during his 18-month ban from football, revealing that many people distanced themselves from him during the period.
The 32-year-old was suspended due to a doping violation while playing for Juventus, which eventually led to the termination of his contract, leaving him without a club. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Pogba described the experience as deeply isolating and emotional.
He praised his wife for standing firmly by his side, noting that even friends and acquaintances stopped contacting both him and his family during the ban. He expressed deep gratitude for her unwavering support throughout the ordeal.
Pogba, who won the 2018 FIFA World Cup with France, is now expected to return to professional football in the 2025/26 season, with AS Monaco reportedly set to be his next destination.
