President Bola Tinubu has nominated Abdullahi Ramat as the Chairman and CEO of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).
Ramat, a 39-year-old electrical engineer with a doctorate in Strategic Management, will serve as acting commissioner until Senate confirmation.
Additionally, Abubakar Yusuf and Fouad Olayinka Animashun were nominated as Commissioners for Consumer Affairs and Finance and Management Services, respectively. President Tinubu however, has urged the nominees to leverage their expertise to promote NERC’s goals and support Nigeria’s power sector development.
