President Bola Tinubu has honored the Super Falcons and their technical crew following their victory at the **2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, where they claimed their 10th title after a 3-2 comeback against the host nation.
All 24 players and 11 technical crew members were conferred with the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON)
Each player received a three-bedroom apartmentin Abuja’s Renewed Hope Estate and the naira equivalent of \$100,000**, while each technical crew member got \$50,000.
Meanwhile Nigeria Governors’ Forum** donated ₦10 million each to the players and crew.
Furthermore Tinubu praised the team for inspiring the nation, especially young girls, and acknowledged their role in uniting Nigerians through resilience, discipline, and courage. He further pledged continued government support for sports and women’s football.
