Defending Nigeria premier football league (NPFL) champions Remo Stars have secured a 2-1 comeback victory against debutants Kun Khalifat in a delayed MatchDay 2 fixture at Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.

Kun Khalifat took the lead with a 16th-minute penalty from Henry Ezeonye. However, Remo Stars equalized through Ibrahim Abubakar in the second half and clinched the win with a 78th-minute goal from substitute Samson Olasupo.

This marked Remo Stars’ first win of the season and one of two away victories in MatchDay 2, alongside Katsina United’s 2-1 win over Plateau United. Kun Khalifat will next face Kwara United in Ilorin, while Remo Stars host Warri Wolves in Abeokuta.
