Anambra 2025 governorship election has concluded, with Independent National Electoral Commission INEC declaring the incumbent, Chukwuma Soludo of APGA, as the winner.
Soludo secured a landslide victory across all 21 local government areas in the state, polling 422,664 votes.
His closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of APC, received 99,445 votes. Other candidates included Paul Chukwuma (YPP), John Nwosu (ADC), George Moghalu (LP), and Jude Ezenwafor (PDP) among others. The results were announced early Sunday morning by the State Returning Officer, Omoregie Edoba.
In the meantime,President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Governor Chukwuma Soludo on his re-election, praising his leadership and promising stronger federal–state collaboration.
This is coming after INEC declared Soludo the winner of the Anambra gubernatorial election after he secured all 21 local government areas, marking his second term and continuing APGA’s two-decade dominance in the state.
President Tinubu commended the peaceful election, praising Soludo’s vision, and urged him to be gracious in victory and collaborate with opponents. He also praised INEC’s new chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, for conducting a credible poll.
