US President Donald Trump on Friday called for the Department of Justice and FBI to investigate alleged links between the late financier Jeffrey Epstein and former president Bill Clinton, as well as figures including Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman, and JPMorgan Chase. Trump’s move comes after newly released Epstein emails reignited scrutiny of Trump’s own past connections to Epstein.
Trump accused Democrats of using what he called the “Epstein Hoax” to deflect attention from their role in ending the recent government shutdown, insisting that the scandal concerns Democrats, not Republicans
