President Donald Trump has expressed frustration over a Russian strike on a US-owned factory in Ukraine, stating he is unhappy with the ongoing war. He announced a two-week timeframe to assess peace efforts, after which he will decide on imposing massive sanctions or tariffs on Russia or taking no action, saying, “it’s your fight.”
Trump highlighted the difficulty of arranging a summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, comparing their relationship to “oil and vinegar.” Despite his push for a meeting, Russia has ruled out an immediate summit.
Trump further noted past deadlines on Ukraine decisions have often not materialized.
