U.S. President Donald Trump has announced via his truth social platform that he will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin on August 15, 2025, in Alaska to discuss ending the Ukraine war.
This will be their first in-person meeting since Trump’s return to the presidency in January 2025, with hopes of mediating a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict.
