President Donald Trump has extended the US-China trade truce for another 90 days, delaying potential escalation and maintaining the current agreement terms. Both countries agreed to pause tariffs, with China also extending restrictions on certain exports.
The extension provides time to resolve differences and possibly set the stage for a summit between Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
So far , the move has been welcomed by US companies doing business with China. Despite efforts to de-escalate, Trump’s broader trade policies have significantly impacted global trade, including previous high tariffs that threatened economic stability.
