United Kingdom has placed a ban on the sale of high-caffeine energy drinks,to those under 16 in England to protect young people’s health.
Health Secretary Wes Streeting announced the policy, noting that up to one-third of teens aged 13-16 regularly consume these drinks, which can have more caffeine than two cups of coffee.
The ban aims to promote healthier generations and address concerns from parents and teachers about the impact on education and wellbeing. While many supermarkets already have voluntary restrictions, this will enforce a nationwide rule.
