UNMAS have issued urgent warnings about Sudan’s worsening crisis.

Since 2023, fighting between the military and RSF has resulted in at least 40,000 deaths and displaced 12 million, with aid groups suggesting the true toll is higher.

Just recently, the RSF seized el-Fasher, North Darfur, killing over 450 people at the Saudi Hospital and committing widespread violence, including killings and sexual assaults. Currently, over 90,000 people have fled the area. While the crisis has led to a severe food shortage, with over 21 million facing food insecurity and famine in some towns, alongside a rise in cholera deaths, Mines and unexploded ordnance have caused increasing casualties, especially in urban areas.
