U.S. Department of State has revoked the visas of at least six foreign nationals from South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, Germany, and Argentina for celebrating or justifying the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on social media.

In a statement on X, the Department declared that the United States “has no obligation to host foreigners who wish death on Americans,” sharing screenshots of the offensive posts and confirming that the individuals are “no longer welcome in the U.S.”

The action follows Kirk’s posthumous award of the Presidential Medal of Freedom by  President Donald Trump, who called him a “martyr for truth.” Kirk’s death sparked a wave of polarised online reactions, leading to over 145 job losses or suspensions in the U.S. linked to social media comments about the activist
