Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has urged calm amid protests in Ghana where some Ghanaians called for Nigerians to be expelled over alleged crimes.
NiDCOM’s CEO, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, condemned the generalization of Nigerians as criminals, emphasizing that most are good ambassadors and that bad actors should face sanctions.
She further look urged Nigerians in Ghana not to retaliate or resort to violence and advised against spreading false videos of property destruction. Additionally, Senator Aniekan Bassey condemned the protests, calling for Nigeria and Ghana to uphold their longstanding friendship and regional cooperation.
