Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the nominees for the 2025 CAF Women’s Awards, featuring top players, coaches, and teams across the continent.
In the African Player of the Year category, Nigeria’s Rasheedat Ajibade and Esther Okoronkwo join reigning champion Barbara Banda, Tabitha Chawinga, Ghizlane Chebbak, Portia Boakye, Mama Diop, Sanaa Mssoudy, Temwa Chawinga, and Rachael Kundananaji on the shortlist.
Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie is also nominated for Goalkeeper of the Year, alongside Chloe Ngazi, Sedilame Boseja, Fideline Ngoy, Habiba Emad, Cynthia Konlan, Fatoumata Karentao, Khadija Er-Rmichi, Adji Ndiaye, and Andile Dlamini.
