Nigeria’s U-20 national team, the Flying Eagles, has arrived Ivory Coast to defend their title at the 2026 WAFU B U-20 Championship. The team landed in Abidjan before traveling by road to Yamoussoukro, where they are staying at the Trio Corridor Hotel.

The defending champions will kick off their campaign against Ghana’s Black Satellites on Monday next week at the Lycée Scientifique, in a rematch of the 2024 final in Lomé, where Nigeria won 2-1.

Following this, they will face Togo’s Sparrow Hawks on Thursday same week and conclude their Group B matches against Burkina Faso’s Young Stallions on Sunday, August 2. Coach Aliyu Zubairu’s side aims to successfully defend their regional crown as they continue preparations for upcoming continental tournaments.
