Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction Minister, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, has been elected as the new National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
His appointment was approved during an emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, after a motion moved by the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, and seconded by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, was adopted.
Yilwatda, a Christian from Plateau State in North Central Nigeria, succeeds Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, who resigned as APC National Chairman last month.
