Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced end to Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) on Sunday, July 26, 2026, as they urged eligible Nigerians to register or update their voter information before yesterday’s deadline.

This final opportunity was crucial for those wishing to participate in the 2027 general election, as voter registration is a key requirement for voting. Nigerians were mandated to complete their registration through INEC’s online portal or visit any state or local government office.

The registration process, which began in August 2025 and was conducted in multiple phases, has now come to an end after over six million registrations, including requests for transfers and replacement of lost PVCs.
