President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his belief in religious freedom, stating that he never forced his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, to convert to Islam.
Speaking at the funeral service of the mother of APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, in Jos, Plateau State, the President explained that he was born a Muslim but married a Christian pastor.
Tinubu emphasized that love and mutual respect have defined their marriage, noting that his wife prays for him without any religious conflict.
The President also urged Nigerians to rise above religious differences and embrace unity and love, especially at a time when the nation faces growing religious tension and violence.
